Planning for Peak Seasons

Peak periods, especially during school holidays and Christmas, require meticulous planning. Clean Vibes begins preparations well in advance, assessing high-traffic zones and identifying potential cleanliness bottlenecks.

Clean Vibes maintains four main toilet blocks, with housing additional change rooms and showers. The team also services 5-6 blocks of standard cabanas, VIP cabanas, the bustling food corso area, car parks, and main entry facilities. Each area receives specialised attention based on its unique requirements and usage patterns.

The cleaning schedule is structured around two primary shifts. The morning shift begins early morning, ensuring all facilities are pristine before the park opens. The afternoon shift starts at noon, with finishing times varying seasonally - extending longer during weekends and peak periods to accommodate higher visitor numbers.

Boosting Operational Teams

During peak seasons, Clean Vibes expands its cleaning workforce to meet increased demand. The morning shift operates with six staff members working in two groups of three, while the afternoon shift maintains four staff members strategically positioned throughout the park.

Each shift begins with staff collecting fully equipped cleaning trolleys containing essential supplies: brooms, dustpans, litter grabbers, squeegees, wiping cloths, cleaning liquids, hand paper towels, sanitisers, liquid soap, and toilet rolls. This comprehensive equipment ensures teams can handle any cleaning challenge they encounter.

Teams are strategically assigned to different zones, with the morning groups dividing the park to ensure thorough coverage of all areas. The afternoon team maintains a particular focus on high-traffic areas, with dedicated staff members assigned to the food corso and critical facilities like toilet areas and changing rooms.

Innovating with Recycling

Clean Vibes introduced a comprehensive Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) at Raging Waters Sydney, improving the park's approach to recycling and sustainability. Through this innovative service, Clean Vibes manages the entire recycling process from start to finish, significantly reducing the park's environmental footprint while maintaining its pristine appearance.

The process begins with the systematic collection of all eligible containers throughout the park, including plastic and glass bottles, aluminium cans, and cardboard juice boxes. Every Friday, Clean Vibes transports these materials to their Silverwater facility, where containers are meticulously counted and sorted for contamination. This regular weekly schedule ensures consistent processing and prevents any buildup of recyclable materials on park grounds.

The impact of this initiative is substantial. In December alone, Clean Vibes processed approximately 5,000 containers, each earning a 10-cent refund for the park. This financial incentive, combined with the environmental benefits, makes the CDS program a valuable addition to Raging Waters' sustainability efforts. By streamlining the entire recycling process, Clean Vibes has created a seamless system that benefits both the environment and the park's operations.

The implemented CDS program's is a success: in just one month, Clean Vibes recycled over 5,000 eligible containers from the park.

Prioritising Restroom Cleanliness

High-traffic restrooms are a notorious pain point for public venues. Clean Vibes implemented rigorous cleaning schedules to keep these areas spotless.

Implementation:

  • Frequent cleaning rotations, with staff assigned to restrooms throughout the day.
  • Stocking supplies, such as soap and paper towels, well in advance to avoid shortages.
  • Regular inspections to address issues like clogged toilets or faulty fixtures immediately.

Maintaining Dining Spaces

The food corso requires constant attention to maintain hygiene and comfort. Clean Vibes dedicates specific staff members to this area during the afternoon shift, equipped with specialised cleaning materials and supplies stored in a dedicated trolley behind toilet blocks. Throughout their shift, the team maintains rigorous cleaning protocols: regularly sanitising all table tops and benches, removing food scraps and debris from under and around tables, and ensuring the cleanliness of areas in front of and alongside food shops. This comprehensive approach ensures a pleasant dining experience for all guests.
